After much research and deliberation, we have decided on supporting 2 charities that are desperate for our help:
East Rand Children's Haven
The East Rand Children’s Haven is a Non-Profit, Non-Government organisation that cares for twenty children between the ages of 5 and 18, regardless of race, religion, gender or language. These children are brought to them through the court system and have been removed from their homes due to being orphaned or abandoned or due to some form of abuse or neglect. Approximately 50% of these children are mentally challenged and require special care.
In their residential care facility, they strive to go beyond the call of duty when helping these children. They not only give them a safe and loving environment in which to grow up, but concentrate heavily on skills development. The idea is to find their individual strengths and develop them, while at the same time strengthen their weaknesses.

C.H.A.N.C.E Childrens Home
Chances Children's Home is a registered non-profit organisation. They provide a safe, secure home and therapeutic environment for children from families in crisis, on a completely non-discriminatory basis.
Although they offer residential care, their aim is always to work towards the reconstruction and reunification of families wherever possible, and in this they co-operate with others working in related fields of Social Welfare
